16 years: where we’ve been and where we’re going

February 2021 marks 16 years since DNPR began, and while lockdown has meant we’ve had to forgo a big celebration, we couldn’t let this milestone birthday pass by without taking a moment to reflect on 16 years in business and to say an enormous thank you to all our clients, friends and supporters.

Starting DNPR back in 2005 was, as Darren describes, ‘like leaping off the high board without knowing quite what you’re diving into and whether you’ll sink or swim.’ But swim we have, like the proverbial swan, with a strong-paddling work ethic propelling us along underneath the surface of our success.

That work ethic, which has won us many awards and accolades over the years, has driven us through the changes and challenges of 2020 too. We’ve been adapting and innovating with our trademark positive energy and feel hugely grateful to now be trading at the same level as we were pre-Covid – which is no small thing as we’re sure you can appreciate!

Huge thanks must go to all our brilliant clients, many who stuck with us throughout this period, as well as those who have joined us during it. Your stories continue to inspire us and we love finding new ways to share them and shine the spotlight on what you do. The coverage we’ve secured, even over the past few weeks alone, with our clients appearing in everything from glossy lifestyle magazines to BBC Radio 4 flagship programmes, is a testament to that.

We’re lucky to have such a wonderful band of friends and supporters, and such a lot of support from the Dorset business community in particular; thanks to all of you for your birthday messages and well wishes which have flooded in over the past few weeks.

As we look ahead, we’re super excited about what the future will bring. We can promise our small close-knit team will continue punching well above its weight, generating the brightest ideas and securing the best coverage for our clients.

Here’s to many more birthday celebrations ahead of us – with proper parties and loads of cake and fizz! We can’t wait!
