DNPR joins FSB

We have long seen the advantages of belonging and engaging with membership bodies. We’ve always been members of Dorset Chamber, Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and have previously been Patrons of Bournemouth Chamber of Commerce, as well as members of the Public Relations Consultancy Association (PRCA).

This month we have re-engaged our membership of the Federation of Small Business. Darren recently met a representative from the FSB at a network meeting and had a lengthy discussion about the benefits of membership, so we have taken the decision to engage and renew our association with the FSB. The FSB encourage their members to utilise their membership as much as possible and use all the services that the federation offers – such as:

  • Training and Development
  • Business Banking
  • Campaigning on behalf of small businesses
  • Running UK wide business awards
  • Writing policies and business documentation for its members

Membership of the FSB is forever growing and now has over 200,000 members across the UK and is made up of 33 regions. Their main aim is to support small businesses, and this is what is of interest to us here at Darren Northeast PR.

Darren says: “Have the support and backing of any membership organisation has always been of benefit to small businesses, and we have utilised the services of our memberships many times over the years. That’s why I was happy to engage with the FSB once again. The organisation has developed so much since we were last members – so I was happy to connect with them again.  We are currently in discussion with them about offering to run an awards workshop for the members– so watch this space!”

Theo Meddelton, Operations Manager, says: “I’m looking forward to attending some of the training courses the FSB offer, as well as attending more of their online webinars and networking events. It’s a worthwhile organisation which I’m sure will provide us with good insights and opportunities, and we hope to return this favour to other members of the FSB.”
